Multi-Focus Image Fusion with Multi-Scale Transform Optimized by Metaheuristic Algorithms

Focus is limited and singular in many image capture devices. Therefore, different focused objects at distances are obtained a single taken. Image fusion can be defined as the acquisition of multiple by combining important information from two or more images into image. In this paper, new multi-focus method based on Bat Algorithm (BA) presented Multi-Scale Transform (MST) to overcome limitations standard MST Transform. Firstly, specific (Laplacian Pyramid Curvelet Transform) performed source obtain their low-pass high-pass bands. Secondly, optimization algorithms were used find out optimal weights for coefficients bands improve accuracy finally fused reconstructed inverse MST. The experimental results compared with methods using reference non-reference evaluation metrics evaluate performance methods.
